Into the wilder Side of life & Beyond

We departed to visit the Labuk Bay Proboscis monkey sanctuary to watch these animals in their habitat. There had been 74ml of rain overnight which meant 1 km walking through thick mud as the bus would have been a wipe out! Wow check out the proboscis alpha male with his harem. At one stage this alpha male galloped through on a wooden walkway to challenge a bunch of "bachelors ". If this happens you stand completely still while the male gallops loudly like a horse through the middle of the crowd. If you get in his way he would simply bowl you over.
We then travelled several hours to our next riverside lodge only to be held up for over an hour with an accident blocking both lanes. It involved 2 cars running into the back with a tanker going the opp way. Then a truck lost it's brakes & wedged itself between the the cars & tanker. One driver then badhed up the driver of the wedged truck. It was on like donkey Kong!

Finally arrived at our riverside lodge & we took a cruise to see wildlife. We saw a herd of pygmy elephants, proboscis monkeys and hornbills. We were caught in a rainstorm . Wet wet wet with perspiration & rain. I nearly died by poncho. Suffocated by it!
