Day 16: Ljubljana City Tour

Firstly l have no idea why my pics come out sideways. So sorry!

It was overcast with a cool breeze. We went on a walking tour with Emil up to the castle on the hill. It's a beautiful  charming clean city. It's the greenest capital. Car traffic in the city centre is restricted. The buildings & bridges are stunning. Cobblestone narrow streets, many bicycles  & low amount of tourists. We walked all over the castle then rode both ways up & down on the funicular. The shops are creatively presented urging you to enter. We had a gin tasting, sat down to a superb mushroom soup, bartered for warmer long jackets & then walked another 4 hours on our way back to the hotel. Our group have taken to meeting for pre dinner drinks where we can. The corridor was the only place! Though l began with a superb Slovenian cake & tea prior to a glass of wine l also managed to fall asleep in the middle of it!
