Day 8: Albania to Montenegro

Visited Kruje castle and its surrounding township on top of a mountain. Kruje was a fortress of resistance against the Ottoman empire in 15th century.
Onto Petrovac Montenegro arriving in torrential rain & flooded paths to the hotel & flooded bridges across to rooms. "Fawlty Towers" it's now known as due to the mould in the rooms. Stench of sewerage in the toilet , curtains that should be hanging, tossed into musty cupboards, very ordinary. Rule is: Don't look up or at your feet, just straight ahead, otherwise you see mould. But its situated on a most beautiful promenade  & bay area filled with bars, restaurants  & eateries of every kind. Sand sun lounges as far as the eye could see.
Anne unfortunately came down with the dreaded gastro/diarrhoea bug going thru the bus. She was ill throughout the night & filled up the waste bin in the toilet with vomit. I had to explain to reception that the bin needed to be emptied. It didn't deaden the smell of sewerage sadly.

Montenegrens are incredible tall people, like they have been stretched or elongated. 7ft tall. I'm not exaggerating!
